He is much missed, but he had a grand life, was much loved, and left this world peacefully.<\/p>\n<p>My opinion that we should maybe wait a bit before getting another canine companion was vetoed by the wife and child, which in turn led to this energetic furball joining the household:<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/armagideon-time.com\/img\/221002\/1002a.jpg\" width=\"590\" height=\"442\" title=\"Taken during a picosecond lull between taunting the cats and doing parkour across the living room furniture.\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s a Pomeranian\/Yorkshire Terrier mix whose official name is Apito (chosen by the Kid, after a Caribbean goddess) but he has already racked up a slew of alternative and nick names&#8230;one of which is <strong>Larry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Why? <\/p>\n<p>Well, the little dude&#8217;s extreme fuzziness has led to him being called a &#8220;miniature Wookie,&#8221; &#8220;Ewok,&#8221; and &#8212; when he&#8217;s being extra rambunctious &#8212; &#8220;baby werewolf.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/armagideon-time.com\/img\/221002\/1002b.jpg\" width=\"590\" height=\"635\" title=\"No honor among les loups-garoux.\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>This triggered memories of the time when Maura and I were watching <em>The Wolf Man<\/em> a few years back and she blurted out &#8220;Wait, the werewolf&#8217;s name is <em>Larry<\/em>?!?&#8221;  So whenever Apito is acting up, we say &#8220;he&#8217;s gone full Larry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I think Baby Fang\/Fangpuss would&#8217;ve been a better fit.<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/armagideon-time.com\/img\/221002\/1002c.jpg\" width=\"590\" height=\"443\" title=\"Scrappy Doo has a lot to answer for.\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p><strong>Recommended listening<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HfqTpIrmNsU\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the bigger events that happened during the hiatus was the passing of Ollie Dog last spring.
